Class Descriptions

Aqua Fitness

Each week will feature a  fun and challenging workout that will include cardio, strength and balance for all fitness levels. Open to anyone 12 and older.  Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.  

Boot Camp

Have some fun and stay in shape this summer! This 60 minute class is about improving your strength and stamina through a rugged, outdoor workout. Class consists of sports drills, running, circuits and interval training.

Core and More

This class takes "Core Training" to the next level.  We will focus on strengthening abs, obliques, low back, hips, glutes and other stabilizer muscle groups.  Not only will you strengthen your core in this class, but you'll improve your balance, and posture as well!  This is a great class for all fitness levels.

HIIT Strength

Looking to lose weight? Do you want to gain strength? This is the class for you! This class combines a variety of strength movements in a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) style format, to burn high amounts of calories and fat.  Boost your metabolism with this fast-paced, total body workout!

Stretching for Arthritis

Stretching for individuals with arthritis is a low-impact physical activity program to reduce pain and decrease stiffness in the arms and legs. The course will be led by Certified Hand & Upper Extremity Therapist and Occupational Therapist Peg Hau from Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine and her Level 2 Occupational Therapy fieldwork student Greta McCash.  Participants in the class will follow upper and lower extremity routines that work to improve range of motion muscle strength and muscle endurance. All exercises are easy to follow and can be replicated at home.

Strong Nation

Inspired by kickboxing and mixed martial arts movements, Strong Nation is a choreographed HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) format. Move perfectly in sync with the music that has been engineered to perfectly match each high intense sequence! Our instructor will cue you through this high energy, FUN format so you always know what's coming up next! No equipment needed!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi, often referred to as mediation in motion, is a mind-body practice that was originated in China as a martial art. The practice of Tai Chi consists of a series of slow graceful movements that are combined with deep breathing. Movements are without strain, and provide exercise and toning for every part of the body. Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can benefit from its practice. Open to all ages.  Partiicpants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.  No equipment needed.

Work it Circuit

In this 30 minute full body circuit class you will work through different stations that will switch between high and low intensity for 30 second intervals.

Yoga for Everybody

Please bring a lawn chair to have the opportunity to sit and support yourself as needed during the exercise routine.  A theraband will be provided to each participant. This class is great for kids, adults, families, friends, everybody! Please bring a mat.  

Yoga on the Deck

Yoga on the Deck is recommended for anyone who wants to feel inspried, get connected with themselves and their community and wants to learn more about Yoga!  This class is Vinyasa Flow style, but moves at a comfortable (slower) tempo highlighting basic postures.  We cover breath connection, body alignment and relaxation to allow you to feel present, calm and strong in your body. Yoga on the Deck is geared towards adults, however we will welcome children (ages 10+) who are able to participate without being a distraction to others.  Please bring your own mat and other props if needed.  Parking Downtown is free after 6:00 p.m.  Cherry Street ramp is the best option or ride your bike!  Arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and get settled.

Zumba

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness.
