Responsibilities

The Housing/Zoning division is responsible for questions regarding City ordinances relating to the following:

• Floodplain determinations
• Land use
• Parking requirements on private property
• Setback requirements
• Fences
• Rat Prevention
  
  

They also address complaints concerning the following:

• Housing conditions (interior and exterior)
• Improper disposal of waste material
• Litter
• Exterior storage issues
• Accumulations of garbage and/or recyclables
• Simple building code violations
• Prohibited structures
